Hey everyone! ^_^ I have something I want to share with you today, it is kind of personal but I wanted to contribute to knowledge about IUD's (Intrauterine devices) because I recently had one inserted but during my preliminary research I was only able to find mostly horror stories about them and it almost scared me away.
For those who may not know, an IUD is a small T shaped device that is inserted into the uterus to prevent pregnancy. There are currently three kinds of varying sizes and hormone levels.
I decided to get an IUD because the low dose estrogen pill was just not for me and I wanted to try something new. IUD's have some of the highest success rates in preventing pregnancy because you don't have to worry about remembering them and they last for years (if all goes well, mine will last for 3 years). Sounded really convenient to me after taking a pill every day for the last 5 years!
In short I have had a positive experience so far with no issues.
You can read more about my experience here: www.experienceproject.com/stor…
Go forth and edumacate yourselves.
